Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The case is in oak with mahogany cross banding to the trunk door and base. At the top of the hood is an attractive band of fretwork.
The good quality, 8 day, five pillar movement strikes the hours on a bell.
It also has a subsidiary seconds dial and working date indicator.
Both case and movement are in excellent condition and it is keeping good time.
