Vintage 1920s Swiss Pocket Watch & Chain

Description

A gents 1920s Swiss pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around three minutes over 24 hours. The movement is protected by an inner hinged dust cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model by the English watch case maker A L Dennison. The case is in good condition with just some light scratches to the back, and a small area of gentle unevenness.

The plastic lens is in good condition.

The dial is in good condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a vintage plated watch chain which measures 30cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. There is wear on the chain links where the chain has repeatedly rubbed on a waistcoat.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
