The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is signed Swiss Made, 15 Jewels, Prima, Chummy. The movement is protected by an inner dust cover.
The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is sterling silver and there are hallmarks inside the outer cover, and also on the movement cover, for Birmingham 1927 with a maker's mark of ALD for the English watch case maker Dennison. The case back has a couple of small, shallow indentations but overall the condition is very nice for a 1920s piece. There is a vacant cartouche to the back of the watch.
The plastic lens is in good condition.
The enamel dial is in lovely condition.
