French Ormolu and Champleve Enamel Mantel Clock

Description

A stunning gilt ormolu Loius XVI style timepiece mantel clock. It has a waisted case, with champleve enamel panels. The hand painted enamel dial has ornate pierced hands and a paste jewel set outer bezel. The 8 day pendulum movement is stamped "CJ CC". (France, c. 1890)

27.00cm high 16.00cm wide 8.00cm deep (10.63 inches high 6.30 inches wide 3.15 inches deep )

Current Condition

The case retains its original high-gilded finis, the enamel is in perfect condition. The movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
