Ladies Vintage Watch, 1917 9ct Rose Gold Watch

Description

A ladies antique 9 carat rose gold wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to around two minutes over a 24 hour period.

The watch measures 27mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is 9 carat rose gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Birmingham 1917. Overall the case is in relatively good condition for its age there is a small 'ding' to the side of the case and a couple of 'dings' to the case back, together with surface scratches. The lens has a 3mm scratch and a couple of smaller marks.

The dial is very pretty with a blue number 12 and blued steel hands. The hands are adjusted by way of the pin-set mechanism.

The watch comes on an expanding strap, stamped 9ct gold on the inside of the links, together with the name 'Supreme'. The watch fits a wrist of around 16cm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
