The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.

The watch measures 30mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. Due to its size, it would suit a man with a slimmer wrist, or it could be worn by a lady. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Glasgow, 1931. The case has a nice wide bezel around the lens which gives it a good vintage character look. There is the odd minor mark to the case but overall the condition is good for a piece of its age. The winding crown is a later replacement.

The lens is in good condition.
The dial has a textured finish, typical of a 1930s watch. There is some fading to some of the numbers, and a little discolouration. Very stylish hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
A new brown leather strap has been fitted.
