1920s Thomas Russell & Son Premier Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

A vintage 1920s Thomas Russell & Son Premier stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to around five minutes over a 24 hour period. The movement is stamped Thomas Russell & Son Liverpool, Premier, Swiss Made. This pocket watch is a little unusual in that it is designed so that you push and turn the winding crown simultaneously.

The watch measures 49.8mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The nickel case has light surface marks from use and the odd minor "ding" to the back but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch lens is glass is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Thomas Russell & Son Liverpool, Premier with Swiss Made at the bottom. The dial has some damage to the edge between 12 and 1 but most of it is covered by the bezel.

The watch has blued steel hands (The minute hand is later).
