Small Bell Striking Rosewood and Marquetry Mantel Clock

Description

A small, high quality French mantel clock, dating to the mid 1800's. It has a rosewood shaped waisted case, with fine satinwood marquetry inlay.It has an embossed brass bezel and an engine turned and silvered dial. The 8 day movement has a silk suspension and is bell striking on the hours and halves. The movement is stamped by the makers "Dupont et Dixon, Paris"(France, c. 1840)

Current Condition

The case is in superb original condition, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.If you would like an email of this clock striking and chiming please email us.
