Burr Walnut Chiming Grandmother Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A nicely figured and proportioned burr walnut grandmother clock with Westminster and Whittington chimes, dating to George V period. The shaped top hood has quartered side columns and fretted side panels. It has a long door with a shaped top and a bookmatched veneered door and a matching base. The engraved silvered dial has a Tempus Fugit disc within the arch and a tune changer lever and chime silent lever. The 8 day movement chimes each 1/4 on 8 chime bars, either Westminster(Big Ben) or Whittington.(England, c. 1920)

Current Condition

The case retains its original good finish, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like to receive a video clip of this clock chiming please email us.
