A Good Oval Striking Carriage Clock

Description

An excellent quality late 19th century French CARRIAGE CLOCK in an impressive and substantial cast brass OVAL case.

Surmounted by a shaped cast brass folding handle, all four sides feature curved glass panels, whilst the eight-day movement strikes hours and half-hours on a gong. It retains its original lever platform escapement and both white enamel dial and blued steel 'spade' hands are original.

Perfect working order and guaranteed at least two years. Complete with original leather travelling case ~ just a little distressed.
