Description

A vintage 1921 silver Elgin pocket watch.

The watch has a stem winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is within 2 - 3 minutes over a 24 hour period. The movement is stamped Elgin Nat'l Watch Co, U.S.A, 15 jewels and the serial number 23691271 which dates the movement to 1921.

The watch measures 50.4 mm diameter excluding the stem and loop. The silver case was made by The Dennison Watch Case Co and is hallmarked for Birmingham 1919. The case has light surface marks from use and a couple of small dents to the back and edge although nothing too serious.

The watch lens is glass and has the odd minor mark and otherwise it is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Elgin and is in nice condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.
