French Gilt Brass Mantel Clock

19th century
Description

A French mid 19th Century gilt brass mantel clock in the Louis XV style. It has a Rococo case embossed with acanthus leaves and scrolls. It has a convex glass and a cream enamel dial with tasteful blue numbering. The 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a bell and was made by Japy Frere.

Current Condition

The case is in excellent original condition retaining all its original gilt finish. The movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.If you would like a video clip of this cloc striking please email us.
