1930s Vertex Stem-winding Pocket Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A vintage 1930s Vertex pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over a 24 hour period. The movement is signed Vertex, 15 jewels, Swiss made and number 30 possibly the calibre number.

The watch measures 50.7mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The chrome plated case is stamped Vertex Swiss made. The case has light surface marks from use and the back has wear and the odd minor "ding" although it has a good vintage look. The inner dust cover has surface scratches and an A scratched on it.

The watch lens is in nice condition.

The dial has a small scratch between 11 & 12 o'clock and otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original gold coloured hands.

Price includes free worldwide postage.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
