A good large large 19th century CARRIAGE CLOCK by the famous maker: Henri JACOT.

Contained in a fine quality "Corniche" case, the eight-day timepiece movement retains its original platform lever escapement, with a good white enamel dial and original blued steel hands. Fully signed with the Jacot Trademark (a parrot between the initials "HJ"**) and Numbered 8909 this fine clock measures 7.5ins high (handle up. (19cms)

**A "jacot" in French is a parrot or "Pretty Polly" ~ hence the use of a parrot in Jacot's trademark.
