Antique Omega 24 Hour Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Omega pocket watch, made for the Canadian market.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over a 24 hour period. The movement has the Greek Omega symbol on the balance cock. It is also signed P B Crews, Clinton, Ont (quite often the retailer had their name engraved on the movement) together with the serial number 1,316,455 which dates it to around 1899/1900.

The watch itself measures 51mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is the gold filled Cashier model and it is in good condition with just light surface scratches, mainly to the back.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The 24 hour dial is in super condition. One of the hands is a later replacement.

Price includes postage.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
