Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1800s.

The fusee movement is of eight-day duration with its original pendulum (steel rod); original painted dial and good brass hands, the minute hand with counterbalanced tail. Guaranteed for at least two years.
The Roskell family worked in Liverpool from about 1798 until around 1830. The signature "Roskell and Son" appears to have been used circa 1825. See Baillie page 275.
