An impressive and excellent quality mid-19th century ENGLISH SKELETON CLOCK in the form of the Scott Memorial.*

This fine eight-day 5-pillar chain-driven fusee movement features six-spoked wheels throughout, with the gilt bronze figure of Sir Walter Scott seated with his dog "Maida" at his feet. Full working order and guaranteed for at least two years. Complete with glass dome and solid mahogany base. The movement: 17ins (43cms) high.

*The Scott Memorial is a Victorian Gothic monument to the Scottish author Sir Walter Scott. It stands in Princes Street Edinburgh, and was completed in 1844 following the death of Scott in 1832.
