Unusual Oval Vineyard Wall Clock

19th century
Description

A decorative and very attractive German wall clock. It has a gilt gesso oval frame, with an internal ebonised dial mark with painted floral decoration and inlay with mother of pearl.

The glass reverse painted dial is signed by the make of l Ellebrecht of Osnabruck. It has an 8 day pendulum movement that strikes the hours and halves on a gong.(Germany, c. 1880).

58.00cm high 50.00cm wide 15.00cm deep (22.83 inches high 19.69 inches wide 5.91 inches deep )

Current Condition

The case is in good original condition, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
