Description

A very good quality 18th Cent longcase clock by Charles Hine of Exeter and dating from around 1780. It is now in need of a little restoration. The case needs a some cosmetic restoration and the movement though running could do with a clean. The dial is also discoloured and could be re-silvered

The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a very decorative engraved silvered dial with subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator. It also has the all important strike silent selector to the arch.

It has good brass cased weights and a heavy wooden shafted pendulum.

The maximum dimensions are:

220cm (87") high

54cm (21") wide

30cm (12")
