We are delighted to offer for sale this fine quality large tortoiseshell mantle clock finished in a stylish art nouveau or fleur de lys shape finely mounted with silver plated decorative adornments , this imposing clock has a mahogany frame that has been veneered throughout the front, sides, and top in fine tortoiseshell , it is fitted with a French eight day movement typical of the period and has the most gorgeous silvered dial with engine turned sunburst centre , black roman numerals and steel blue hands further enhance its good looks .

The condition of the case is superb having been professionaly cleaned and polished including all the silvered mounts and new baize lining beneath,there are a few minor blemishes in the shell to be expected but very minor, the eight day French movement is in perfect working order having been cleaned and with the benefit of a new balance wheel escapement is now fully guaranteed for 12 months from delivery.
