An Attractive Oak 8-Day Longcase Clock

Description

A good-looking mid/late 18th century oak LONGCASE CLOCK by Jonathan Wood of Grantham (Lincs).

The case is surmounted by three brass ball finials with gilded capitals to the plain columns that flank the dial. The trunk has a long arch-top door, and it is supported on a double plinth base.

The eight-day movement strikes hours on a bell whilst the good brass dial features subsidiary seconds; subsidiary date dial and it is signed with an engraved signature just above "VI". 7ft 6ins tall (228cms). Full working order and guaranteed at least two years.
