Walnut Striking "Regulator" Wall Clock

19th century
Description

A slender wall clock of simple lines in a regulator style. It has a walnut case, with a shaped base and glass side panels and a detachable pediment and base finial.

The two piece enamel dial is marked by the maker Junghans, it has a gridiron pendulum which is marked R & A (retard and advance) and an enamel beat plaque in the base of the case. The 8 day movement sounds the hours and halves on a gong. (Germany, c. 1890)

Current Condition

The case has been re-polished, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like to see a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
