Scottish Grandfather (Longcase) Clock by John Adamson of Kilmarnock

Description

An antique oak Scottish longcase (grandfather) clock of eight day duration with brass dial.

Standing 85½ inches high, the exceptional quality oak case is of very elegant proportions with nice detail to the hood columns, original carved paterae, brass ball & eagle finial, good long trunk door, fluted quarter columns and Gothic sound frets to the hood sides.

Eight day brass framed movement with original brass pendulum and cast iron weights.

The time is displayed via blued steel hands to the finely engraved brass dial with raised silvered chapter ring and well cast spandrels, signed "John Adamson - Kilmarnock" to an arch boss.

A very fine and elegant Scottish longcase clock in exemplary condition which is offered fully serviced and regulated. Twelve months guarantee included.
