Silver Plated Striking Carriage Clock

Description

A striking French carriage clock in a silver plated case. The Corniche case has an oval top window, and enamel dial with Roman numerals that is signed by the original retailer, Mattocks of Bournemouth. It has an 8 day movement that strikes the hours and halves on a gong. It has the original lever platform escapement.(France, c. 1890)

Current Condition

The case has been silver plated, the movemenet has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.

***our movement service includes a complete strip down, cleaning polishing pivots and re-bushing as required***
