Cross Antiques has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The case has retained its original lacquer and gilt decoration that is now nicely aged. It has had no major restoration and has even still got its original double plinth to the base.

The good quality 5 pillar movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a very smart brass dial with silvered chapter ring and gilt spandrels. It also has the all important strike/silent selector to the arch.

These clocks are usually London made and judging by the movement this is probably the case here, however unfortunately the name plate from the dial is missing.
The maximum dimensions are:
252cm(99") high including top finial
49cm(19") wide
24cm(9.5") deep
