Early 19th Cent Oak Longcase Clock

Description

A handsome early 19th Cent longcase clock by Thomas Almey from Sheepshead, Leicestershire. He is listed as working there around 1810.

The nice quality case is in oak with mahogany cross banding and has shell inlay to the trunk door and base.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a most attractive painted dial.

The case is in good condition. The movement is also in good condition and looks to have been recently overhauled and is keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

216cm(85") high, (excluding finial, + 10cm)

56cm(22") wide

28cm(11") deep

Free local delivery and set up (75mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost.
