Early 19th Cent Oak & Mahogany Longcase Clock

Description

A very smart early 19th cent longcase clock by Cornelius Wheeler of Bridgenorth, Shropshire.

The case is in oak with mahogany veneered to the hood and mahogany cross banding to the trunk door and base.

The attractive dial has a well painted horse riding scene to the arch and scenes depicting the continents to the dial corners.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. It looks to have recently been overhauled and is in excellent working order and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

212cm(83.5") high, excl finial (+8cm)

53cm(21") wide

26cm(10") deep

Free local delivery and set up (75mls), national and international delivery arranged.
