Black Slate Mantel Clock

Description

A good quality Victorian Black Slate and Marble Mantel Clock in the Aesthetic movement style. The Clock has an eight day movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell. The dial has engraved gilded Roman numerals and also engraved gilded detail to the corners.

The founder of the business was Mr James Andrew Page who was born on the 4th of March 1811. Page, Keen and Page Ltd were goldsmiths, silver smiths, jewellers and watchmakers, they were located at 17 George Street, Plymouth, before the Second World War and at 87 Mutley Plain after.

The Clock movement has been cleaned and serviced.

Height - 10 inches

Width - 8 ½ inches

Depth - 5 ½ inches
