19th Cent Mahogany Moon Phase Longcase Clock

19th century
Description

A lovely small mahogany longcase clock in typical West Country style. It is by J B Crafter of Landport, Somerset.

The case is veneered in beautifully figured mahogany with decorative ebony and boxwood stringing.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has attractive painted dial that displays the phases of the moon to the arch. It also has a subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator.

The case is in good original un-restored condition with only a few minor veneer chips to the base.

The movement has recently been overhauled and all functions are working and it is keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

209cm(82.5") high

47cm(18.5") wide

24cm(9.5") deep

Free local delivery and set-up (75mls) national and international delivery arranged at cost
