Small Edwardian Mahogany Mantel Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A small, mahogany mantel clock, with attractive applied carving in the form of acanthus leaves and ribbons and swags. It has a bevel edge convex glass, an enamel chapter ring, signed by the retailer Mappin and Webb and a silvered engine turned centre. The French 8 day movement strikes the hour and halves on a gong. It is stamped GB &E. (England and France, c. 1905)

26.00cm high 19.00cm wide 12.00cm deep (10.24 inches high 7.48 inches wide 4.72 inches deep )

Current Condition

The case retains its excellent original finish, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
