19th Cent Oak Moon Dial Longcase Clock

Description

A handsome oak & mahogany longcase clock dating from the late 18th/early 19th Cent. The dial is signed by Hain of Burslem.

The mainly oak case has some decorative mahogany veneer and cross banding.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a most attractive painted dial displaying the phases of the moon to the arch.

The case is in good un-restored condition. The movement looks to have recently been serviced and is in good working order and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

225cm(88.5") high

57cm(22.5") wide

24cm(9.5") deep
