Edwardian Striking and Repeating Carriage Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

An attractive French brass striking and repeating carriage clock. t has an Anglaise case, with a ribbed handle and a matching top and bottom frieze. It has an oval top window a gilt dial mask and a floral enamel dial. The 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a gong and repeats the hours by depressing the repeater button. It has its original lever platform.(France, 1900 to 1910). It comes with an original carriage clock key.

17.00cm high 9.00cm wide 8.00cm deep (6.69 inches high 3.54 inches wide 3.15 inches deep )

Current Condition

The brass case has been polished and lacquered so it will not tarnish, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
