Brass and Nickel Ships Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A very heavy ships clock, having a solid brass case, with a polished nickel bezel, which has a thick bevel edge glass. The white vitreous enamel dial has Roman numerals and a sweep seconds hand. It has an 8 day lever platform movement. (England, c. 1910)

This timepiece was removed from a ship in a shipbreakers yard in Glasgow in the 60's

Current Condition

The case has been polished and lacquered so it will not tarnish, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
