Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.

This clock is undoubtedly of Dutch origin, having a bonne base with lionspaw feet. There is a gilt ventricle to the case door allowing the brass pendulum to be seen swinging when the clock is operating.

A nicely polished case with sound frets to the hood and blind fretwork to the arch of the hood.
The arched painted dial has black Roman numerals and subsiduary seconds dial and date aperture.
