Scottish Mahogany Drumhead Longcase Clock.

Description

A very original Scottish mahogany longcase clock. It has a drumhead hood, with a traditional Scottish solid mahogany keyhole design trunk. The white cicular dial has subsidiary second and date dials and is signed by the makers J&W Orr of Airdrie. It has an 8 day movement that strikes the hours on a bell.The hood has a removable carved pediment.(Scotland, c. 1850)

Current Condition

The case retains its original finish, the dial has been professionally restored, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
