Figured Walnut Striking Mantel Clock

19th century
Description

A mid Victorian walnut mantel clock, retailed by Camerer Kuss. It has a rectangular figured walnut case with line brass inlay. The white dial has a beaded brass bezel and is signed by the original retailer, Camerer Kuss of Oxford Street , London. It has an 8 day pendulum movement that strikes the hours and halves on a gong. The removalable back has numerous repair labels dating to the 1890's.(Germany, c. 1870)

27.50cm high 22.00cm wide 13.00cm deep (10.83 inches high 8.66 inches wide 5.12 inches deep )

Current Condition

The case has been re-polished, the dial has been restored in recent years, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months
