Intricate pierced fret-work sides to hood. Excellent quality grade of selected mahogany , having achieved a rich colour and patina.

Fully-serviced movement ,excellent time-keeping . High quality replacement brass finials standing on reeded blocks to top of hood.
Prophetically inscribed to dial "THE MOMENT PAST LAYD MANY FAST ". London-type top quality case with brass stop-flutes to quarter columns on trunk and to columns on hood with architectural brass caps.

Flame-veneered long door to trunk with arch top. The base of case with moulded applied decoration, the whole raised on a double stepped plinth base.
