Early 18th Cent Walnut Longcase Clock

Description

A charming little clock with solid walnut case and single handed brass dial movement. It is by R Browne of Botesdale (spelt Bottisdale), Suffolk. He is listed as working there from 1700-1740. The case is in lovely un-restored condition with original finish and is a beautiful colour. It has had some minor repairs over the years (particularly to the plinth) but is generaly in good order.

The substantial birdcage 30hr movement strikes the hours on a bell and is in good running order.

The maximum dimensions are:

191cm(75") high

49cm(19") wide

24cm(9.5") deep
