French Regulator Style Wall Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A light walnut cased wall clock made by The quality makers Japy Frere. It has a glazed door and side panels, side columns with carved top capitals, and a shaped base. The pediment is fully detachable. The 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a sonorous long chime bar, as opposed to the usual coiled gong. (France, c. 1900).

Current Condition

The case retains its original finish in very good condition, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
