Excellent French Carriage Clock by Henri Jacot

Description

A very good quality late 19th century FRENCH 8-DAY CARRIAGE CLOCK by Henri Jacot with his trademark stamped to the backplate.

The case is of "Corniche" design retaining most of its original gilding, with bevelled glass panels; oval glass panel to the top, and it is complete with its original numbered (11885) winding key and travelling case (this now is a somewhat "distressed" condition, as you can see!).

The movement retains its original lever platform escapement and strikes hours and half-hours on a gong, and is in full working order. A good clock.
