Fine Edwardian Mahogany and Inlay Mantel Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A very good quality Edwardian mantel clock, in a solid mahogany case inlaid with satinwood and boxwood stringing. The break arch top case has brass side handles and brass ogee feet. It has a convex enamel dial with a convex bevel edge glass and is signed by the original retailer, Maple & Co Ltd. of Paris and London. . The French 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a gong and was made by A.D. Mougin and is numbered 58777 as is the original pendulum.(England, c. 1905)

24.00cm high 20.00cm wide 13.00cm deep (9.45 inches high 7.87 inches wide 5.12 inches deep )

Current Condition

The case is in immaculate original condition,the only small mark is on the curve top (see image) The enamel dial is perfect. The movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like to hear this clock striking and ticking please either call us or email us for a video clip.
