Fine French White Marble & Ormolu Clock Set

Description

An excellent quality mid-19th century French ormolu and white marble three-piece CLOCK SET or "Garniture de Cheminee", comprising the clock of white marble surmounted by an eagle with wings outstretched and with ormolu mounts and finials, flanked by the PAIR of matching marble and ormolu twin-branch candlesticks.

The clocks 8-day movement is of typically good French quality, striking hours and half-hours on a bell, with original white enamel dial; ormolu "sunburst" pendulum and blued steel Breguet "moon" hands.

In perfect working order and guaranteed for at least two years.
