Victorian Skeleton Clock with Passing Hour Strike

Description

A traditional brass skeleton clock, having shaped plates and a pierced and silvered chapter ring. It has an 8 day fusee movement with an anchor escapement and a passing strike which sounds a single blow to the bell every hour. Contained under a glass dome which is mounted on a mahogany base with circular brass feet.(England, c. 1880)

40.00cm high 39.00cm wide 20.00cm deep (15.75 inches high 15.35 inches wide 7.87 inches deep )

Current Condition

The movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. the base has been re-lined in plum velvet.
