Exceptional Gilt & Mahogany Bracket Clock.

19th century
Description

A pleasure to offer for sale this outstanding Victorian bracket clock that is in absolutely pristine condition.

The 8 day, twin train, pendulum movement by VINCNTI of PARIS strikes on the half-hour and the hour. The movement, dial, and pendulum all marked with the same serial number.

A silvered, engraved dial and chapter ring having black engraved Roman numerals. Complete with original keys. (Always a sign of a cherished item)

A solid mahogany case with a pagoda top, retaining it's original French polished finish that is in "as new" condition and with gilt brasswork embelishment that is also immaculate.

The movement has just been fully serviced by our BHI registered staff.

It is rare to find an antique of this quality and in this condition and would tend to suggest that it has been in the ownership of a single family from new.

Dimensions:

Height 17" (43cm)

Width 9" (23cm)

Depth 6.5" (16cm)

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
