French Four Glass Mantel Clock

19th century
Description

A good quality, French four glass mantel clock. It has a gilt case with four thick bevel edge glass panels. The enamel dial has 5 minute markers, the movement is of 8 days duration, strikes the hours and halves on a bell and has an impressive gridiron pendulum with an enamel back plate. Made by Edouard Serin of Paris.(France, c. 1880)

31.00cm high 18.00cm wide 14.00cm deep (12.20 inches high 7.09 inches wide 5.51 inches deep )

Current Condition

The case retains its original gilding, with some signs of age, the top panel has been refinished. The movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like to receive an email video of this clock striking and working please email us.
