Large French Striking Carriage Clock by Henri Jacot

Description



A large Striking French carriage clock, having a gilt corniche case, bevel edge glass with an oval top window, and a clear enamel dial. The 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a gong, it has its original lever platform escapement. Made by the eminent maker Henri Jacot of Paris, this clock is numbered 13853 and comes complete with its original numbered key. (France, c. 1890)

18.00cm high 9.50cm wide 8.00cm deep (7.09 inches high 3.74 inches wide 3.15 inches deep )

Current Condition

The case retains its original gilding, in excellent condition. The movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
