Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
Unusually, this one is in an oak case, giving it a uniqueness seldom found. It is medium in colour with a lovely deep, rich patina.

The white enamel dial is in pristine condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. It has black Roman numerals and a subsiduary seconds dial. It is clearly signed with the GUSTAV BECKER logo, as is the back of the movement.

The brass weights and pendulum are in excellent condition. Complete with original winding key and enamelled beat counter.
