19th Cent Mahogany Moon Dial Longcase Clock

19th century
Description

A handsome mahogany longcase clock dating from the early 19th Cent. by Gammon of Birmingham. The case is in nicely figured mahogany with a stylish gothic arched door. It stands on its original ogee bracket feet.

The 8 day movement has a very decorative painted dial showing the phases of the moon to the arch.

The case is in good unrestored condition. It does however have the usual shrinkage crack to the base and a few veneer chips consistent with age.

The movement is in good running order with both the date dial and moon dial working as they should.

The maximum dimensions are:

224cm(88") high

56cm(21.5") wide

25cm(10") deep

Free local delivery and set up (100mls). National and international delivery arranged.
