Small Gilt Metal Mantel Clock

Description



A Small, waisted gilt-metal mantel clock, having a ceramic inset panel depicting an 18th Century scene of a courting couple. It has a convex enamel dial decorated with floral garlands, and ornate pierced gilt hands. The 8 day timepiece movement has a lever platform. (France, c. 1890)

37.50cm high 16.50cm wide 8.00cm deep (14.76 inches high 6.50 inches wide 3.15 inches deep )

Current Condition

The case retains its original gilded finish, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and benefits from a replacement lever platform.
