18th Cent Oak Longcase Clock

Description

A pretty little longcase clock by Peter Bower of Redlinch, Somerset. He is listed as working there around 1740.

The case is in oak, is of good proportions and a lovely colour.

The 30hr birdcage movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a very attractive brass dial with silvered chapter ring.

The movement is in good working order. The case is also in good condition but may have had some reconstruction to the base.

The maximum dimensions are:

193cm(76") high

47cm(18.5") wide

25cm(10") deep
